How to apply for PGCET

PGCET registration is entirely online, through the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2026.
- Register with a valid mobile number and email address.
- Choose your stream: MBA, MCA, or M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch (each has its own application track).
- Fill in personal, academic and category details, including your qualifying degree, marks, and candidature category.
- Upload documents: photograph, signature, and category/income certificates where applicable.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Review and submit, then download/print the confirmation.

Fee amounts are set fresh each cycle. The 2026 registration window (March 23 – April 30) also had a short extra window through May 5 for fee payment, so a missed payment deadline doesn't necessarily mean a missed application — check that year's exact notice.
Documents commonly required
- Recent passport-size photograph and signature
- Qualifying degree marks card (or provisional marks card if awaiting final result)
- Caste/category certificate, for reserved-category candidates
- Income certificate, where required for category or fee concessions
- Work-experience certificate, for part-time/executive MBA applicants
- Domicile or study certificates, to establish Karnataka candidature
Made a mistake after submitting? The correction window
KEA opens a correction window after registration closes — in the 2026 cycle this ran July 3–6, before counselling began. Log back in with the same credentials to fix errors in your submitted form. Corrections requested after the window closes are generally not entertained, and the details you leave uncorrected are what feed into document verification and merit preparation — don't assume you can fix something later at verification instead.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying under the wrong stream track (MBA vs MCA vs M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch) — each has separate registration.
- Mismatched name/date-of-birth spelling between the application and your degree marks card.
- Missing the fee-payment step after filling the form.
- Assuming M.Tech/M.E./M.Arch and MBA/MCA share the same exam date — in 2026 they were held on different days.
