Where to find student reviews, rankings and placement reports
This directory deliberately doesn't carry student reviews or star ratings: this site has no real student user base to source them from, and inventing testimonials would mean publishing fiction as fact. That's a genuine gap versus a large platform with millions of users submitting real reviews. Rather than fake it, here's honestly where that kind of information actually lives:
- Government rankings: the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) publishes an official, methodology-disclosed annual ranking of Indian engineering colleges, including several Karnataka institutions. See NIRF ranking vs KCET cutoff for why these measure different things.
- Accreditation status: check a college's current NAAC grade and NBA programme accreditation directly on the NAAC and NBA websites rather than trusting a claim on the college's own marketing page.
- Student reviews and placement data: large education platforms with real student contributor bases — careers360, Shiksha, and Collegedunia among them — publish user-submitted reviews and self-reported placement statistics. Cross-check more than one source, since review volume and quality vary a lot by college.
- The most reliable placement number: a college's own official placement report/brochure for the last 2-3 years, requested directly, ideally with company-wise and branch-wise breakdowns rather than a single headline "highest package" figure.
