KEA releases a provisional answer key within days of the exam, along with the question paper and individual response sheets, then opens an objection window before publishing a revised/final key.

How the process works

  1. Provisional key released: published online alongside the question paper and response sheets.
  2. Objection window opens: candidates can challenge specific answers within a short fixed window.
  3. Expert review: KEA's subject experts review valid objections.
  4. Revised/final answer key published: incorporates any accepted corrections. In 2026, the revised key was released June 2, roughly a week and a half after the May 23 exam.

Only challenge an answer if you're confident it's genuinely wrong. Whether an objection fee applies is set fresh by KEA each year — check that year's notice on the official portal.

Estimating your score

Once the provisional key is out, you can estimate your raw score by matching your response sheet against it. Keep in mind your estimate can shift slightly once the revised key is published.
